Elizabeth Levine - commercial, contemporary and classical composer
Elizabeth Levine is a dynamic & versatile composer, violinist and pianist based in London.
She began composing and improvising on the piano at age five. Elizabeth developed her interest in composition over the next 20 years, including professional studies at the Royal Academy of Music, where she graduated in 2007 with a degree in classical violin. Aged 14, she won the BBC Guardian Young Composers competition for her composition "The Four Vicious Violins", which was broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
She has deep experience of a broad range of commercial, contemporary and classical styles. Her distinctive style, coupled with addictive feel-good melodies shines through all her work. She enjoys composing in a variety of styles, and there is something for everyone to enjoy, ranging from film and TV music, orchestral textures, edgy trailer music and piano ballads.
COMPOSING TO MOVING IMAGE
Between 2009 and 2010, Elizabeth collaborated with many talented film directors from the London Film School and the Met FIlm School and scored their films. In 2010, She graduated from Kingston University with a Masters in Composing for Film and TV.
PRODUCTION LIBRARY MUSIC
Elizabeth is currently working with Altitude Music Ltd - a production company based in Brick Lane. She has composed two library albums that have been released: "World Cinema" (2009) aimed at independent cinema, and "Classical Narrative" (2010) tailored for documentaries, dramas and trailers. These albums are based around classical/orchestral writing, with some contemporary twists. Both albums have been well received by the media and can be viewed at: www.altitude-music.com

The third "Epic/Ethnic" album is due for release in June 2011 and features epic trailer music, some of which Elizabeth co-wrote with a fellow composer Richard Davis and the directors of Altitude Music.
COMMERCIAL PITCHES
Aside from library albums, Elizabeth has been busy working on bespoke pitches for SKY and MTV with Altitude Music. Works include adverts and trailers. In February 2011, Elizabeth re-scored Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance" that won her a pitch for MTV's "Jersey Shore" series. The orchestra was mixed with R'n'B beats supplied by Caspar Kedros.
